Bernadette Dempsey has been in education for many years and is passionate about music education. She graduated from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music where’s she obtained her bachelor’s. Bernadette is a professional Bassoonist who performs in bands and orchestras all in the Central Valley, Bay Area, and even different states and countries. As an educator, she strives to provide students with a welcoming and safe environment where students can learn, grow, and make mistakes! Students should be involved in their own learning in order to demonstrate their abilities to their highest potential. Working together in an ensemble provides them with a cooperative and collaborative environment so that they may learn by each other. Music is the great uniter and an incredible force. Something that people who differ on everything and anything else, can have in common. When not in the classroom or football field, Bernadette is outside getting lost in the forest, hiking, or camping with her husband James and son Jack.
