One of the purposes of this meeting is to gauge interest from band parents, who may be interested in becoming a Booster. The current opening is Ways and Means Coordinator. According to the bylaws, the duty of the Ways and Means Coordinator is to research and coordinate all potential fundraising activities and potential fund-development options. If you are interested in this position, please attend the meeting.

2020 Final Reminders:
The 2020 edition of the Leadership and Auxiliary Camp was the K-State Band’s most successful yet. Last July, 140 Drum Majors, Section Leaders, Percussionists, and Colorguard members from all over Kansas and beyond came to the KSU campus to learn conducting, leadership skills, guard technique, and percussion technique. The students at Leadership and Auxiliary Camp participated in a number of large and small group activities that helped strengthen their leadership skills, teamwork, positive attitudes, and work ethic. The camp was “process driven” with the goal that each student would come away with the knowledge and confidence necessary to be leaders within their own band programs. The camp was concluded with a wonderful performance where each student group got a chance to perform and demonstrate what they had learned in the couple days spent under the instruction of K-State Band Staff, Graduate Assistants, Drum Majors, Band Leadership, and Kansas Music Educators.
