GMR. GUEVARA earned his Credential from California State University of Bakersfield. He also received his Bachelors of Music Education degree from California State University Northridge, where he studied with Mary Schliff, Dr. Lawrence Stoffel, John Magnussen, and Karen Ervin. Mr. Guevara is a member of NCBA, MENC, and CBDA.

As a performer, Mr. Guevara has performed with The Los Angeles Jazz Society on piano, The Black Knight Indoor Percussion (2004), and Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps (2000-2005), with the emphasis of percussion.

As a teacher, Mr. Guevara used to arrange and compose music for bands within the Bakersfield area, as well as Southern California, before he landed his first teaching position at Delano High School where he taught for 3 years. Mr. Guevara is the Director of Instrumental Music at Lodi High School since 2011, where he teaches and directs: piano, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Winter Percussion, and Winter Guard.

Mr. Guevara loves spending his time with his wife and two sons, Mateo and Maui. He loves wine from time to time and enjoys Latin dancing.
